VILNIUS PUBLIC TRANSPORT Customer Contact Center Vilnius public transport provides buses and trolley buses services. The websites, where you can find all the transport routes, are www.vilniustransport.lt and www.marsrutai.lt. Tickets are purchased from any Lietuvos Spauda kiosk or direct from the bus or trolley bus driver. Buying in kiosk ticket costs 2 Lt (1 Lt concessionary), and direct from the driver it costs 2.50 Lt (1.25 Lt concessionary). If you have your luggage, which has additional capacity, you must purchase one more ticket. Fines for driving without a ticket range from 60 to 100 Lt. TOURISM INFORMATION All information about tourism in Vilnius can be obtained in Vilnius Tourist Information Centre. The main centres are located in Didzioji str. 31, Vilnius str. 22, Gelezinkelio str. 16 (in the train station), Sventaragio str. 2 (near the Cathedral). All centres work up to 6 p.m. on weekdays and up to 4 p.m. on weekends.
TAXI The average prices in Vilnius are about 1, 20 Lt/km (0, 35 €/km) if you call a taxi home, but prices can vary up to 3.50 Lt / km. It is worth noting the fact that if you catch a taxi in the street, than companies charge an additional fee, so, it is cheaper to call a taxi by phone. You can also call a taxi by SMS or online. CROSS-RATE Lithuania has fixed the euro-litas exchange rate. It remains unchanged and is 3.45 litas per one euro.
